Kiana Gaston, Student Intern
Supervised by Debbie Edmunds, MA, LPC-S

My name is Kiana Gaston and I am a practicum student under the supervision of Debbie Edmunds, MA, LPC-S. I am currently completing my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of Houston - Victoria and prior to this, I obtained by Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Texas Tech University. I have worked in the mental health field offering crisis assessments and interventions to adolescents and adults across numerous counties in the Texas area.

My primary theoretical approach is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I am able to use a variety of different approaches to fit your needs. My goal as your therapist is to provide you with support to obtain your therapeutic goals and encourage healthy coping mechanisms and thinking patterns.

Seeking help from a therapist is a difficult process that takes a lot of strength, and I would like to applaud you for taking these steps in seeking assistance. I look forward to working with you to bring about positive change.
